SAL #4 Puppy Love - I've Started!

I've had an idea in my head for a version of Puppy Love since before Nia announced it as this year's Stitch-A-Long. Finally, on Friday I had some time to sit down and plan the layout for what I want to do.

My layout plan

I'm going to be making just three of the puppies, and I have a lovely 9 X 4 inch frame that I will put them in when I'm done stitching. I've got a fair bit of free time this week so I think the stitching will go pretty fast.

Saturday

I got a good start on my first puppy on Saturday and by Sunday he was nearly done. I'm stitching them at 16 count on a piece of mint green Belfast linen. The colour is much prettier in person, but my camera doesn't seem to be capturing it well.

Sunday

This is my first time making one of Margaret's puppy designs, (I'm more of a cat person) but I'm really loving these little guys. When the picture is finished, it will be a gift for my significant other. Though not a surprise gift, since he's seen me working on it and already asked who it was for!

2013 Easter Exchange
Lentochka posted her parcel to Joey with registration, unfortunately, she's been trying to get more info to track her package and nothing =/ Lentochka is considering to start working on a second package, the first is probably lost..
So, it's sad that Joey is still waiting but we know that sometimes the post office doesn't work as they should! I had packages lost in the past and I'm sure some of you know that feeling too =/ But I'm not saying that Lentochka failed, she's been working on this, she's been in contact with me, all good. That's the right way to do things :)
Joey, sorry for the delay but don't think that we forgot about you, it was bad luck on the mail but you'll get your gift! :)

My first puppy is started!

Hi all! I started my first puppy, as I had told Nia, the beginning of June.  It's coming along nicely, and I am happy to do them each on a separate fabric for gifts.  Happy Stitching to everyone!!  :)

Anyone noticed my name missing? I apologize to the group but this time (for the very-very-first time!!) I won't be participating on our exchange =/ Sorry ladies!
I'm behind on my stitching and goals, sooooo behind!! Of course I'm still here coordenating everything and checking in ;) I'm going to pull all your ears if you don't finish and post your parcel on time!! Are you hearing me?? :p heheheh I really hope this time we won't have missing parcels to anyone!

If someone fails the deadline, I will assume the responsability to send a parcel in her behalf. That's the main reason why I can't participate this time, it's difficult to do it all :p So, I will try to have a pixie parcel ready to ship, if no one needs it, I'll save it for another occasion ;)

So, we should post our updates on the first week of each month, I did that already but.. since I took so long to start my SAL, I'm catching up now and I have a second photo :)
Do you mind if I post another update this month?? :p heheheh

Second puppy is done and I hope to have the chance to stitch one more before the end of June! In case you are wondering about their eyes, I will add beads but just when all my stitching is done ;) I don't like to move the fabric on my q-snap with beads already placed, I prefer to leave that for last.

Hope to have another finished to show you on the 1st week of July! :D

I am only planning on doing 4 out of 6 puppies, and I am stitching them on separate pieces of evenweave (dyed with fennel).
