Christmas Exchange

Hello,
I recieved my exchange piece in the mail.  A wonderful xmas ornament with a "Merry Christmas"  clothes pin, smaller xmas ornaments, and some xmas ribbon.  I will post a picture in a couple of days.  Thank you Judith for such a nice package.

Hi ladies :)
If you follow my blog, you know I've been sick and that's why I haven't been updating here.. sorry =/ This weekend I will post the usual update on our blog and winter exchange ;)

My parcel arrived to its destination, I was secret Santa to Verónica!

For my ornament, I stitched a snowman and his two friends, from Cross Stitch Crazy 157. I added a little charm for a special detail ;)

I added a few gifts and wrote a postcard but.. I forgot to mention that I was sending my exchange parcel :p LOL Good reminder for the future, whenever we send an exchange ou pixie parcel... it's best to mention it somewhere on our card or package ;) hehehe

Here is a pic of my Christmas tree all decorated, and with my special 2012 decoration given to me by Valma.  It is so beautiful and cheery. Every one of my friends who have seen it, love it too!! The little present the penguin is holding is done in the colours of the French flag to remind me of Valma in France!!  The pic of all the wonderful presents Valma sent me does not include all her gifts as I used some of them already for adding embellishments to this years Christmas gifts!  Thank you so much Valma for everything and thanks to Nia for setting up this exchange!

A gift from the other side of the world

I came from a distant land parcel, with many details left me speechless decals Margaret Sherry were my favorite, because in my country it embroidery artists are very few known.

Angèle took the time to make a nice trinket for a delicate tree and Santa card I learned to do last year.
All are local souvenirs Netherland, and that makes them very special.

Winter Exchange Gift - Thanks Rita!!

I want to send out a big thank you to Rita, who was my gift maker in our Winter Exchange. Rita's gift arrived from Portugal this week, and included an adorable penguin ornament for my tree and lots of other treats for me. So many that I had to take three pictures to capture them all. (And I realized just now, that I left out a snowman pencil that was included in the package as well. Oops!)

First up, the penguin ornament that Rita stitched for me and a Christmas card she made herself. I didn't have any Margaret Sherry penguins yet, so this one will be a welcome addition to the family of Margaret Sherry critters that decorate our tree this year. Rita also mentioned she's new to scrapbooking and this was one of her first solo attempts at making a card. It's lovely Rita! Thank you!

Here are just a few of the goodies Rita included; some stickers, festive fabric squares, her handmade card and miniature clothes pins with snowflakes and Santa.

And my third picture; some Christmas ribbons, a few more Christmas notions, a pin of the flag from her homeland, and three beautiful bookmarks showing off different parts of Portugal. Absolutely beautiful. When I saw these I immediately added Portugal to my list of places to visit someday!

Once again, I just wanted to say thank you to Rita. I really appreciate all the time and hard work you put into this gift for me. It was certainly a wonderful surprise. I'm an avid reader, so your bookmarks will be used often, and I'm already making plans for many of the crafting notions you've included. Wishing you all the best for the holiday season and a very merry Christmas!!!

Winter exchange - Valma to Anne =)

Hi girls

As we are now receiving the parcels ...I can show you what I made for my exchange and that Anne received =)
It's a penguin I had in the MS best of bookazine , I just changed the colours of the present he has in his hands to remind Anne the gift was from France =)

As I wanted to change a bit from the hangings I had already made, I found this wooden Xmas tree and made this hanging with felt at the back to hide the threads =)
The stitching is a bit small due to the size of the wooden tree :-/

It was so much fun again to make this exchange ! Thank you Nia
