Hi ladies :D

I take the time to show you the piece I made for her...
It took 2 weeks to cross France and reach Portugal ! Such a long travel !!!
We thought it was lost !

But anyway it seems I succeeded in sending a smile :D
This pattern I had bought on MS web store (what a pity that it has now disappeared !!!!) seemed obvious to me :D

The pity is that I totally forgot to take a picture of the goodies, except that mug to suit with the tray I choose as a finish....

But maybe Nia will find the time to make a post on her blog :D

Anyway, what a pleasure to participate to this exchange !!!
I had almost forgotten how exciting it is to join such an exchange....

Hello again....

Goodness me, it has been so long since I posted here.... and so very long since I have stitched a Margaret Sherry design!  Last year my stitching plans went slightly awry as my job went super crazy and I went back to working 5 days a week.... with less hours to stitch each week, and even less energy not a lot got done!

But 2015 is getting off to a great start and I sort of have some updates for you.... no finishes yet but who knows what the next couple of months will bring!

So here we go for a bit of an update on my MS stitching:

From Valma to Joey

Before the first parcels for the Halloween exchange start to arrive.... I have to show you what I did for Joey for the Blogversary exchange =D
Better too late than never no ?  hehehe
I chose See-saw mice, one of the last downloadable charts available on MS website 

A free theme...so Valma rhymed with mice of course =D
I made a little zipped pouch with those 2 little cute fellows , because they are cute aren't they ? =)

Can't wait to see all the beautiful pieces that are going to be made for our next exchange, and hope that my partner will enjoy what I'm preparing =D

Washing line

Last year I received Washing line as a birthday present from Hubby =)
Some weeks ago I decided to start it and it's now finished...
Over cute little mice don't you find ?

They are really tiny, I think they are the smallest one ever stitched !
I made or more precisely customized my basket for clothes pegs with it  =D
I'm in love...

Sailing Mice

Hi girls

Last week I finished a UFO...
I started this design 2 years ago when I started to blog and never finished it as I have been involved in a swirl of stitchings and by the blogosphere =D
There was not much left to do
They are now framed to suit,  in one of my rooms here,  with the 2 first mice I stitched ( Dandelion & Party animal)
A real delight to stitch and I find them very cute
They come from the issue of July 2007 of Cross Stitcher

Margaret Sherry's Christmas Mice

I didn't get a chance to participate in the Margaret Sherry Christmas stitch-along, but that doesn't mean I didn't get a chance to do some Margaret Sherry related stitching for the holidays. I put together two sets of these Christmas mice, (plus an extra mouse with stocking for myself). These adorable little guys come from The Best of Margaret Sherry collection.

The first set I stitched on 18 count aida cloth, which seemed like a good idea when I started (and don't get me wrong, they did turn out very cute!) But I hadn't thought ahead to all those tiny 1/4 backstitches that are used to create details on the mice, and they were quite a challenge to stitch on such a small fabric.

The frames on this set are woodgrain flexi-hoops, which I love because I was able to stitch the designs right in the frame. I made these ones as stocking stuffer to go with our Christmas gift for a friend.

This second set I made for my brother-in-law's girlfriend. She's from Japan and decorating the family tree is one of her favourite activities when she gets to spend Christmas with us in Canada. This time I stitched the designs over 2 threads on a 32 count linen, which was much easier to work with! The frames are 2.5 inch in diameter ornament frames that I found at Michael's. I was so happy to discover them since they were the perfect size for these little mice.

"Kiss Me" Valentine Mice

I have had a letter published in Cross Stitcher Magazine Issue 238.  I sent them a picture of my "Kiss Me" Valentine Card.  They cropped the picture to show the mice only, and also reversed the picture, so that the heart shaped balloon was on the left and the rose on the right.

When I received my copy of issue 236 I completely fell in love with Margaret Sherry's kissing mice (above) and dropped everything I was doing, so that I could find some fabric and threads to start stitching it straight away!  I've just finished it this morning and had to take a photo to share with you.  This will make such a great Valentine's card for my husband - he's going to love it.

And yes, he did love it.
