Spring Exchange
I didn't get any reply from Jodi so I add to move our list =/ Judith is sending to Olimpia instead of sending to Jodi.
Parcels already sent: Amber, Noni and mine :)
Who else has finished? Look out, deadline coming on the 21st ;)

SAL #3
Another deadline coming in two days and only 5 stitchers have finished the first task :p Come on ladies, let's grab those needles and stitch this cute Spring cat =) He is so adorable that you will want to start Summer cat right away too :p hehehe

I'm still waiting to hear from Jodi, if I don't get a reply during the weekend, we will have to move the list. We can set that MusicWoman (Judith) will send to Olimpia instead of sending to Jodi.

From time to time, someone asks about our SALs from last year, so new friends are stitching those charts and joining the stitchers who haven't finish yet! We may see some new finishes from Culinary Cats soon :)

Remember my idea for a contest? It's on stand by for now, I'm waiting to see some magazine with a Margaret Sherry's design that it's not a cat :p hehehehe Just to change a little, we've stitched cats for all our previous activities, it would be fun to pick something different this time :)

We have a list with online stores where everyone can buy Margaret Sherry's designs. Please, if you know more stores, let us know so we can update it ;) Thank you!

New contest?
I had an idea for a Spring contest, I want to share it with you and ask your opinions! What about we have a stitching contest? Spring theme, we will pick a chart from some Cross Stitcher or The world of Cross Stitching (something current so everyone can buy it). Everyone would stitch the same chart and you could finish it as you'd like! In the end, we would post our pictures and open for votes here on the blog.

The winner would get a prize given by all the others participants. Something small, easy for everyone to send ;) For example, if we have 15 stitchers in the contest, the winner would receive a DMC thread from everyone else, it would be a prize of 14 threads :)
So, if we lose, we have to send a thread, if we win, we win as much as the number of partipants. What do you think about that? :)

For the prize, I thought it would be fun ribbons, it's also easy to send in a small envelope, right? And it would be great to get so many different ribbons from different countries! What would you like, DMC threads or ribbons?

Two cards still travelling to their destinations, Eleana and Svetlana, coincidently both partners so I can imagine there was some issue with the mail between their countries =/ I hope both will get their cards soon!!

I know Noni is a cat lover ;) I stitched... a cat obviously!! LOL :D

I didn't have enough Lana thread to stitch the hat (like I did on Santa and snowman for our SAL #2) so I change a little detail. Instead of stitching the mistletoe on his neck, I made it with felt and beads :) And I added a bigger one on the top too! For the card, I used Kraft card.

Noni, I hope the postman won't take to long to take this little cat to his new house =)

getting ready for tomorrow!!

Hello ladies :)
I'm a little behind here, I apologize for that =/ You all know how this season is always such a busy time for everyone :p

Next week I will update all about our SAL #2, now it's about our Christmas Exchange, lets get on track of that first :)

I got my card from Noni but I'm saving it to open tomorrow morning :)
Judith also received her card from Laura, and Olli received from Rita! Anyone else? Next year we have to start earlier :p ehehhe

Tomorrow we will have a big post here with all the pictures, so everyone can see their surprise card in time for Santa :)
Santa starts his trip in Australia, right Noni? You are the first one to have Santa's visit :D At what time should I post here?
I think Australia is 11 hours ahead from Portugal so... Santa will start delivering gifts when it's 1 p.m for me :)
Should I post exactly at that time? Earlier? What do you say girls?

PS: Anyone wants to wait and not see a picture here tomorrow??

SAL #2 deadline extension

We have new friends joining our group, also willing to stitch our SAL so...
...deadline extension!! :D ehehehe I think this will be good for many of you who are still a bit behind ;)

There's no punishment if you don't make it on time! No way!! Deadlines are just to motivate everyone, also so we can stitch along with our friends, it's fun to see everyone's works. That's the important word: FUN!! :D Don't worry if you don't make it on time, just make sure that you have fun while you're stitching ;)

But... It's true that I would love to see everyone finishing our SAL this time! :p LOL
So, let's make it until de end of the year, December 31st :)
