Hi ladies :D

I take the time to show you the piece I made for her...
It took 2 weeks to cross France and reach Portugal ! Such a long travel !!!
We thought it was lost !

But anyway it seems I succeeded in sending a smile :D
This pattern I had bought on MS web store (what a pity that it has now disappeared !!!!) seemed obvious to me :D

The pity is that I totally forgot to take a picture of the goodies, except that mug to suit with the tray I choose as a finish....

But maybe Nia will find the time to make a post on her blog :D

Anyway, what a pleasure to participate to this exchange !!!
I had almost forgotten how exciting it is to join such an exchange....

quick note!

Hello ladies :)
I need to apologize for being so behind here on the blog, I know I need to update everything from the last 2 weeks (also emails to reply!!) =/ sorry ladies! Those who follow my blog already know the reason why I'm missing some time :p There's a baby boy coming soon to my world =)

I will try to update and organize everything until the weekend but I'm already apologizing in advance if I may continue a bit behind during the coming weeks.. it's for a good 'little' reason =) I think everyone can understand :)

2014 SAL

Who's up for another SAL (stitch-a-long) in 2014? :)

It hasn't been easy to find a recent Margaret Sherry chart...
... published on magazines, so everyone can easily buy it;
... that it hasn't been stitched here on the group yet;
... that we could break in different parts, like we did with Puppy Love, for those who don't want to stitch the whole chart and prefer to make small parts of it.
(If you can find a good idea, please, share it with us!)

So far, I have 2 suggestions :)

#1 Spring bouquet
I think this design is so pretty and cute, I haven't seen anyone stitch it yet! Am I right?
It's a bigger chart, not easy to break in parts so everyone would stitch at their own pace and show us their progress along the year. No specific dates to post, just the end of the year as a deadline to stitch it all!

#2 Sports & Hobbies (thanks to Heather for sharing her idea!!)
Sports&Hobbies series has many different charts, some have been stitched by our group members but there are a lot of options, maybe we could work with that :)
The idea would be to stitch one design every 3 months, total of 4 designs along the year. Each person could make their own choice, pick which designs you'd like to stitch and then show us your finished piece :) One piece posted until the end of March, another until the end of June, another until the end of September and the last one until the end of the year.

What do you think about both ideas?
We can pick the most voted or even keep both and let everyone sign up as they wish! Share your thoughts :)

SAL Puppy Love complete :)

Hello ladies!! :)
I know I have a few emails to reply, I need some free time to update our exchange list status :p I'll do it later today, everyone will get an email reply from me very soon ;)

Right now I want to share with you the reason why I was away from my laptop during the whole weekend :p I did a cros stitching marathon!!! LOL I stitched two puppies on my SAL and..

... it's complete!!! :D
Happy dance!!!! Uhuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu :D

I didn't stitch all french knots, just for punctuation. I was doing the knots and it wasn't looking nice because my french knots are big :p On my cross stitching, I don't have tight stitches and looks like the same goes for my french knots. Mine are not tight and small so it was looking to messy with so many dots close to each other!

I'm very happy with my final work, it needs a pretty frame now :)

SAL #4 Puppy Love

It happened again! I finished one more puppy on our SAL and I forgot to post it here :p Sorry ladies! I've been thinking about our next exchange, I forgot I had this to post too =)

It's amazing how you can't even see the real color on my fabric.. it's water lily, photos really don't show it =/ Oh well, you'll have to visit me at my house and see the real thing ;) hehehehe

news to share and a gift received :)

Hello ladies!! How is everyone doing?
Many people on vacation this month? :) I'll be soon, working just until the end of this week :D

If you are a follower on my personal blog, you already now how my past few weeks have been ;) If not, let me share the news: I'm pregnant! :D Early pregnancy yet, which has given me a change of rhythm that I'm still adapting :p and that's not the only reason I haven't been around so much, I was also very busy unwrapping packages with lots of bday gifts :D heheh It was my birthday on July 27th :)

A couple of weeks ago, I've also received a surprise package :) Gislene, from Brazil, sent me sweet treats saying how happy she was with all her Pixie gifts!

Since her partner failed on the last winter exchange, some friends on the group gathered to send her Pixie parcels. I know it's not the same as receiving our exchange in time but I also think it's a wonderful joy to see friends gathering just for friendship, nothing in return :) So thank you, thanks to everyone who has send a Pixie parcel (not only to Gislene but in all our previous exchanges), thank you all for your kindness and friendship :)
You ladies are the best!!

SAL #4 - July update

I reached my goal :D I started my SAL later than I wish I had but I did manage to catch up! Half year is gone and half my puppies are done uhuuuuuuuu!! :D

Now my goal is to stitch another puppy until the end of August, another until the end of October and finally the last one until the end of the year... or maybe sooner! heheheh I'm really in love with these adorable puppies, I want to stitch more!! =) But I have to manage time between other projects too.. So, at least I have a goal for each couple of months, if I do it sooner it's ok too :) eheheh

SAL #4 one more done!

So, we should post our updates on the first week of each month, I did that already but.. since I took so long to start my SAL, I'm catching up now and I have a second photo :)
Do you mind if I post another update this month?? :p heheheh

Second puppy is done and I hope to have the chance to stitch one more before the end of June! In case you are wondering about their eyes, I will add beads but just when all my stitching is done ;) I don't like to move the fabric on my q-snap with beads already placed, I prefer to leave that for last.

Hope to have another finished to show you on the 1st week of July! :D

Sal #4 my update :)

I was trying to finish my second puppy in time for this update but...

... there's still a bit missing! This puppy is big :p
Well, I hope to finish this weekend and maybe start the next ;)

I'm stitching on Jobelan fabric, Water lily color. You can't really see it on the picture but Water lily is a little bit green, if you've never seen this color of fabric, here's another picture that might help to see the real color:

Hi ladies!!
Today I received a surprise, my exchange parcel from Gislene just arrived to welcome me home :) I'm back from my Christmas holidays with family, I had no idea I would get such a delightful package on my hands today =) Not one but four stitched ornaments :D Who was the lucky girl? Who??? :D LOL

I wrote to Gislene to say how happy and thankful I am =)
Have you all written back to your exchange partners? I hope so ;)

Also a sweet thanks to everyone who comment on our flashback post, you are all sweethearts =) You girls make me smile, big time!!! :D

I edited that same post with more photos, only 2 missing now, from Eleana and Tracey's parcels. One of the rules was to send one photo by email but not everyone did it... I wrote today asking for photos, now waiting for reply.

For Tracey, I think there's no need to make Pixie Parcels, it wasn't a fail. Brenda did contact me saying her health was not ok and right on that moment I volunteered to send a parcel on her behalf. When this situation happens, if someone gets sick, please, contact me. I don't consider that failing on our exchange, life happens and we can all understand it. I only ask for you to write, take 2 minutes to write an email if you get delayed by any reason. Not saying anything and not replying to emails, that's bad. Not being able to make your exchange because you have a good reason, that's acceptable, this is just for fun. A commitment we make with our friends it's true, but it's a hobby, it's for fun :) Does everyone agree with me?

So, waiting to receive their parcels are Tracey, Gislene and Judith. Fingers crossed that everything will be delivered in the first days of January and soon we will close our Winter Exchange :)

If you follow my blog, you know I've been sick and that's why I haven't been updating here.. sorry =/ This weekend I will post the usual update on our blog and winter exchange ;)

My parcel arrived to its destination, I was secret Santa to Verónica!

For my ornament, I stitched a snowman and his two friends, from Cross Stitch Crazy 157. I added a little charm for a special detail ;)

I added a few gifts and wrote a postcard but.. I forgot to mention that I was sending my exchange parcel :p LOL Good reminder for the future, whenever we send an exchange ou pixie parcel... it's best to mention it somewhere on our card or package ;) hehehe

my SAL#3 is complete!

I've been busy managing our Winter Exchange and totally forgot to post my winter cat, finished last week :)

My 4 cats are all stitched, my SAL#3 is complete :D
Back in February I finished my Spring Cat into a pillow, now I will do the same for the other three, each pillow with a different fabric to match the season ;)

Yesterday was our deadline for our Autumn Cat (SAL #3) and I finished mine just in time!!! Here he is to wish you all a happy season :)
