2014 SALs update!!

Hi everyone!! :)
So, as requested, 'Bags of Fun' was added to our SALs as #7 :D
Happy to see everyone so happy with all suggestions!

I started the list of names with everyone who's willing to join, let me know if there's any change of mind, ok?

I'm very happy to see everyone having fun, I hope your parcels won't take too long to arrive!! I can see the first one has reached destination! Uhuuuuu :D Starting well ;)
I posted an update list on Monday and got many emails since then. Sorry for not replying quicker :p I ask your patience to give me 2 or 3 days to write back, I will reply everyone and update here again ;) It's really impossible to do it daily, sorry ladies =)

Halloween Exchange

There's a list on the sidebar where I was keeping track about our SAL but.. I think I'm lost :p I have 4 stitchers who completed the SAL.. anyone else? If I'm missing someone, please, let me know and I will update =)

Blogversary Exchange
I'm happy to say that this week our Blogversary exchange was finally close, with the last parcel arriving to Brazil! Simone got her gift from Amber, it wasn't sent later, mail in Brazil just works pretty bad =/ Once in a while, we are lucky and a package can be delivered quickly but.. often it happens the other way around, takes over one or two months to arrive to our friends!!

I'm missing one photo to post our flashback, Joey never sent me a picture of her parcel so I asked Heather, I'm waiting for a reply to my email and then I will publish the post :)
This is why I always ask for a photo when you post your parcel, so I won't have to write to everyone later...

For future exchanges
I had a suggestion from Judith, we could add one more thing to our exchange partners info, the age. I think it's a good idea, it helps to know if we are sending gifts to a friend who's 20 or 50, right? It's not about the stitching but all the items in general, it may help a bit to know our partners age, don't you agree? So, I will ask everyone about their age but feel free if you prefer to keep it a secret ;) heheheeh It won't be published here on the blog, just sent by email with your address to your partner :)

August update!

Hello ladies!!
Sorry for the lack of updates during this month.. August has been a time for vacation :) I just finished replying all emails, sorry for the delay!! =)

New authors
We have a couple new members on the group, I will leave them the chance to post here and introduce themselves ;) A few stitchers also asked to join our exchanges but I had to say 'No' when it's someone who has no blog =/ We need to know something about the people who join, the least we can do is accept stitchers who have their own blog and often post. It's the minimum guarantee we can ask =/ It's sad to say 'No' to a stitcher but we had trouble before.. I hope everyone understands.

Blogversary Exchange
We are at the same point we were one month ago...
Lentochka, Cucki and Simone are still waiting to receive their parcels =/
I know mail from Lentochka takes a while to arrive (we saw it on the previous exchange) so next time we need to be more careful here. Maybe Lentochka could post earlier than the others, trying to make up for the delay on the mail service delivery from Russia.
Simone also has some trouble getting mail in Brazil, so that doesn't surprise me much either.. it's sad but let's give it a little more time, patience.
What about the parcel from Heather to Lentochka?! More trouble on mail to Russia..? we can only wait..
In all cases it's possible that this delay is all on the mail service =( Hope to have some news in the next couple of weeks!!

Halloween Exchange

I have a suggestion for this exchange, about the design to stitch. Since there aren't many Margaret Sherry's designs for halloween, would you like to leave it a free stitching? You could make any design for any handmade piece you'd like, the halloween theme would be on the extra gifts in the parcel. What do you think? Does everyone agree?

2013 Easter Exchange
Lentochka posted her parcel to Joey with registration, unfortunately, she's been trying to get more info to track her package and nothing =/ Lentochka is considering to start working on a second package, the first is probably lost..
So, it's sad that Joey is still waiting but we know that sometimes the post office doesn't work as they should! I had packages lost in the past and I'm sure some of you know that feeling too =/ But I'm not saying that Lentochka failed, she's been working on this, she's been in contact with me, all good. That's the right way to do things :)
Joey, sorry for the delay but don't think that we forgot about you, it was bad luck on the mail but you'll get your gift! :)

Is everyone busy stitching?? :D I sure am!!! Trying to catch up, Marcinha is to ahead from all of us!! hahahah :D
I'd like to ask everyone to make an update post next week, is that ok? During the first week of June, post a photo from your work, no matter how much you've done. There's no month goal, nothing like that, it's just to see how everyone's doing. And I hope those who have more progress will motivate others to catch up too ;) That's the beauty on SALs :D heheheh

#1 April update

Hello ladies! It's about time for an update, right? ;)

Easter Exchange
I've been waiting for news on our Easter exchange but.. there are none! Nothing as changed =(
Please, check the status list on our exchange page and let me know if there's something missing. Any other parcel as arrived to destination??

Still no word back from Eleana... by now I think there was enough time for Eleana to take a minute and write to someone. Write here on the group, send me an email, send an email to Annette, send something to someone!! I think I've waited enough and I don't want this to continue for longer than it should! So, 2 weeks past Easter, I would say Annette needs some Pixie magic ;)

Christmas Exchange
I also need to go a little back to the Christmas exchange... Gislene didn't receive anything either, Tracey is MIA. It was Christmas so I waited, mail to Brazil takes too long so I waited, Easter has passed and I've learned my lesson. 2 weeks is how long I will wait for our friends to receive their parcels! Doing that for Annette and now catching up with Gislene too.

Let me also say, I won't accept Eleana for any other exchange. I've warned here on the blog, our exchanges are made for fun, I did not apply for a police job :p Writing an email is the only thing I ask, if people can't find the time to do it.. I'm sorry, I can't let this happen again, I owe it to all of you.

Pixies
Summing up, we need to send some pixie parcels to our friends, Annette (Netherlands) and Gislene (Brazil). To everyone who would like to apply to the Pixie job, please, send me an email ;) heheheh Let's keep something a surprise, we won't publish here who will send, let me know by email ok? ;)

You don't need to send a big parcel, if you have the chance to send an handmade item, that's great! If not, you can still send some treats that will make our friends smile :) All parcels together will make a big parcel to make up for the missing exchange! :D
So, if you have the chance to send a gift, there's no rule, no number of items, just send something from your heart =)
Any other questions about the pixie parcels, write on the email, I will reply to all :)

I'm so happy to see new starts here :D I haven't started my Puppy Love yet but after seeing your pictures... I really want to do it! :) That's the good thing about SALs: motivation! Seeing everyone else's work makes me want to start mine too :) Thank you ladies ;)

Rita finished her Santa from SAL #2, double congrats because Rita didn't give up even though she didn't have the chance to finish on time!! Well done :D

Easter Exchange
Mine is ready!! :D How about yours?
Since we have a calendar for the year, we can start our gifts early, we don't have to wait to know who our partner is. Exchanges outside fan groups it's different, we want to know who our partner is because we want to make something that our friend will enjoy. Here it's different, we alreay know everyone is a Margaret Sherry lover ;) So, don't want for the last day, ok? :)
My parcel is ready, if I have to send far away I can post next Monday; if it goes to Europe then I will wait a little so it won't arrive to early ;) I'm ready for any case! hehehe

Francesca is still receiving her Pixie parcels :)

I have an update from Lu, she sent her package to Eleana by registered mail but after waiting too long and getting no info from the post office, Lu will send a new parcel to replace the missing one.
So, making and shipping a new package, we will have to wait a little more to close our exchange =/

I thought we could start our next exchange because time is flying away! But I will keep my attention until this situation is solved. Does everyone agree with me? Should we start planning for Winter Exchange?

Summer Exchange
So long has passed since our Summer Exchange deadline... and there are still friends waiting to receive their parcel =/ It's hard to understand because our exchanges are so small, this shouldn't happen!

Cris will stay on the same list as Lorraine » those who failed their exchange and we still hope to hear from them someday!
But Lu and Eleana are not totally clear, ladies, you could have done better...

I promise I will try to make things work better next time!
I'll be more careful with everyone who wants to sign up for the next exchange and I won't leave so much time or room for waiting.

We want our exchanges to be fun!! I don't want our friends sad while waiting for something to arrive on their mailbox! If you assume a commitment, make an effort.

It's so easy to make something pretty, add a couple of treats and post :)

Autumn Exchange
We were supposed to make an exchange each season, just like we are making our SAL, one cat for each season :)

But our last exchange is taking so long to close, I'm not sure if we should start another for Autumn... What do you think?
